A Safe Home. A Hopeful Future.
We are a children’s home in Uganda providing love, safety, education, food, and care for vulnerable children who deserve the chance to grow, dream, and thrive.
Every child deserves to feel seen, protected, and deeply loved.

At Home of Good Children, we believe that every child deserves more than survival - they deserve hope, opportunity, education, and a family environment where they can feel safe and supported.

FAQs
Answers to Your Questions About Supporting Our Children
We are committed to full transparency and sharing the real impact of your support. Donors can receive updates, photos, videos, receipts, and evidence showing exactly how donations are used to provide food, shelter, education, medical care, and daily support for the children.
No. Home of Good Children is run entirely through compassion and community support. Serenah — the children’s caretaker and “big sister” — lives with the children, eats with them, protects them, and cares for them daily without taking a wage or salary. She is a permanent volunteer who also relies on donations for survival alongside the children.
Yes. We love helping supporters stay connected through updates, photos, videos, and video calls where possible, so you can see the children’s progress and the direct difference your support is making.
Absolutely. We welcome genuine supporters who would like to visit Uganda, volunteer, and spend time with the children. Many donors find visiting the home to be an incredibly meaningful and life-changing experience.
Your support helps provide essential daily needs including food, school fees, medical care, shelter, clothing, clean water, and education resources like books and technology that help create brighter futures for the children.
For these children, support means more than survival — it means hope. Donations help children stay in school, sleep safely, receive medical care, eat nutritious meals, and grow up believing they are capable of building a future beyond poverty and hardship.

Education gives these children the chance to break free from the poverty they were born into. Many were once street children with little hope for the future, but now dream of becoming doctors, lawyers, and teachers. They are eager to learn because they know education can change their lives forever, while resources like computers, iPads, and smart technology open the door to endless opportunities, skills, and future employment.

Food security is one of our biggest ongoing challenges. There are times when we run out of food completely, and while the children are thankfully able to receive meals during school days, school holidays become especially difficult. Without consistent nutrition, many of the children become weak, stressed, and vulnerable to illness. Your donations help provide regular meals and proper nourishment so the children can stay healthy, grow properly, and focus on being children instead of worrying about hunger.

Before donations, many of the children slept under a ripped tarp where rain would pour through at night, leaving them cold, wet, and unable to sleep properly. Today, because of generous support, the children now have safer shelter and enough space to all sleep at the same time — some even in tents instead of out in the open. Having protection from the rain and proper rest has helped the children feel safer, healthier, and better able to focus and perform at school.

Your donation helps provide clean, comfortable clothing that gives children dignity, confidence, protection, and the ability to attend school feeling safe and cared for.

When children become sick, access to medical care can mean the difference between life and death. We tragically lost beautiful Celine because there was not enough money for urgent treatment in time. But because of donations, we were able to get life-saving medical care for Kate when she needed it most, for her perforated stomach ulcer. Your support helps ensure no child is left without the care they deserve.
